MARCO MAGNANI: lecturer at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, author of the book just published by UTET “Sette anni di vacche sobrie. Come sarà l’Italia del 2020? Sfide e opportunità per sopravvivere alla crisi”
OSCAR FARINETTI: entrepreneur, founder and president of Eataly;
ANTONIO CALABRÒ: manager, writer, journalist, Senior Vice President of Culture for Pirelli & C. and director of Fondazione Pirelli.
This event represented an appointment to reflect on Italy at the end of the decade and on the most urgent measures to end the crisis and relaunch the country. How to reverse course to enable Italy to resume the path of development?
Marco Magnani presented 6 growth opportunities deriving from the research project Country “Italy 2020” directed by him at Harvard: social mobility and merit; enhancement of territorial excellence; culture, tourism, and creativity; innovation; entrepreneurial spirit; interculturalism and diversity.
Particular attention was dedicated to innovation “low-cost” and entrepreneurial creativity.
Calabrò and Farinetti, in an exceptional panel, have discussed these challenges in light of their experiences of success: the first opinion leader, a member of the world of culture and top manager of a large manufacturing enterprise; the second entrepreneur, founder of Eataly, which has become in a short time the largest company in the marketing world, catering and food culture of excellence.
